Easily monitor your property

HomeSafe View is a free security tool that only works with Swann DVR models, such as the DVRx-1590, NVRx-7450, and many more. It supports multichannel viewing of up to 16 security cameras. As it allows for live viewing, you can monitor your property for odd behavior and potential intruders without leaving your room.

HomeSafe View also lets you pan, tilt, or zoom (PTZ) the cameras, allowing you to keep tabs on your loved ones and pets even if you’re not at home. However, it’s best if you own the latest model of your device if you want high-resolution video playbacks.

View live footage with a tap

To manually add a DVR product In HomeSafe View, tap “Device” and the plus icon. Then, fill out the necessary information and touch “Save.” Alternatively, you can add a unit by scanning the QR code. You can also record camera footage and play it on your device. However, doing the latter requires a fast internet connection. 3G and 4G connections are viable, too.

Although your provider will consider camera footage as downloads. In that case, it doesn’t hurt to be extra mindful of your network’s data plans and limits, so you won’t have to pay surcharges. The calendar, on the other hand, lets you view footage from a certain day of the month. The app includes various split-screen layouts, so you have a better view of your property.

Further, it comes with three image quality settings: Mainstream, Substream, and Mobile Stream. Selecting either one, though, will affect the overall quality of the live footage and recording. Along with zooming capabilities for live and playback videos, still images can be captured and saved, as well—serving as evidence of criminal activity. Unfortunately, this tool won’t work if you use a different brand or don’t own an app-supported Swann DVR model.

Keep your property safe

If you own a Swann DVR product, the HomeSafe View app will help keep your home safe from criminals as you can watch live video footage and control your surveillance devices from your device. Though you can’t view footage taken from the last month. You can also capture stills if you need to provide evidence of criminal activity. However, this app is unusable if you own another brand of DVRs.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
